What can I expect when my child attends Kidopolis?
When you enter the front doors of the Family Life Center, Kidopolis is straight ahead. You'll sign in your child at the registration desk and receive a two part sticker. Each sticker has a number on it. One will be placed on your child and the other side you'll keep. When you come back to pick-up your child you'll present the number and we'll get your child.
How do you have your classes divided up?
Our classes are divided up into age appropriate groups from 1st grade through 5th grade. We have Small Group leaders that will lead the times when your child is in small groups. Your child will occasionally have a substitute teacher.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
There will always be familiar faces for you and your child to see every Sunday. If we should need you for any reason during your child’s stay we will contact you using the number you were given at sign in.
What about the safety of my child?
Each staff member and volunteer receives a background check before he/she works with Kidopolis. Also, no one is allowed to pick up a child without the appropriate number correlating to the one the child is assigned.
How can I volunteer at Kidopolis?
There are positions available where you can serve. These include teaching, co-teaching, acting, leading worship and much more.
